Respect Mama Africa

I carry Water over my head
I carry Banana over my head
I carry Mango over my head
And the Children on my back

Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
I let my hands loose to pray
I let my hands loose to clap
And I deserve respect

I have petroleum under my feet
Gold and Diamonds are not for me
I Export and I have no profit
All I gain is war and poverty

Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
I let my hands loose to pray
I let my hands loose to clap
And I deserve respect

I carry Hunger over my land
I carry War over my hand
I carry the Richest over the top
And the Poorest on the slope

Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
I let my hands loose to pray
I let my hands loose to clap
And I deserve respect

I have respect and I have corruption
I’m Reach but I’m poor
I have water but is too deep
I have money but is weak

Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
I let my hands loose to pray
I let my hands loose to clap
And I deserve respect

Too much AIDS and MALARIA
Too much treatment but too much wait
Too much orphans and too much pain
Too much Help and Too much Hypocrisy

Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
Because I’m MAMA AFRICA
I let my hands loose to pray
I let my hands loose to clap
And I deserve respect
